Acts of Service

The Acts of Service (AoS) team helps bear one another’s burdens by meeting physical needs such as housekeeping, yard work, maintenance, moving, occasional transportation, and various other tasks. The AoS team desires to compassionately employ the physical resources, gifts, and strengths that Christ has blessed us with. If you have a need, or know someone who does, please let us know.

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace... whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ..." (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Cards of encouragement

The Cards of Encouragement (CoE) team sends handwritten cards of biblical encouragement to those experiencing difficult seasons of life. If you have a need, or know someone who would benefit from a card of encouragement, please let us know.

"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Meals

The Meals team is available to serve families and individuals in seasons of transition, medical challenges and recovery, the death of a loved one, or the arrival of a new baby by blessing them with prepared meals. If you have a need, or know of someone who needs meals, please let us know.

"Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality." (Romans 12:13)

Prayer

The Prayer team serves by responding to prayer requests in various ways. The Online Prayer team prays for the needs of Redeemer members, regular attendees, as well as their families, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. The Weekend Prayer Team is prepared after each worship service to pray with anyone seeking prayer.  If you have a prayer request, please follow the link below. ". . . praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints," (Ephesians 6:18)

quilts of prayer

The Quilts of Prayer (QoP) team desires to bless others by making quilts for those going through a season of death, recovery, pain, personal struggle, or any circumstance(s) in which prayer and encouragement can be a blessing. Each quilt has scripture woven into it, and the recipient is prayed for while the quilt of prayer is being made by hand. If you have a need, or know somebody who does, please let us know using the form linked below.

"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (James 5:16b)

Visitation

The Visitation team meets with those who are in the hospital, are receiving long-term care, are homebound, or reside in an assisted living facility who would like encouragement and prayer. The heart of the Visitation team is to encourage and bless others in the Lord through time spent together, Scripture reading, and prayer. Please reach out to us if you or someone you know would enjoy a brief, friendly visit or would like to be considered to serve on the team.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." (Matthew 25:35-36)

"For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace give to us each of us is to exercise them accordingly: …he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness… 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 …devoted to prayer 13 contributing to the needs of the saint, … 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep."  (Romans 12:4-15)
