Curtis was born and raised in Southern California and was saved in 1993 when God opened his eyes to see his desperate need for a Savior. That same year, he met and married the love of his life, Angela, and they moved to Arizona in early 1994. He graduated from ASU with a degree in Political Science in 1995. Several years later, after making a decision to attend seminary, he ultimately decided to go through the three year master's level Training Center at his home church of EVBC because of his belief in the importance of the local church training up leaders from within. From 2005 to 2019, he served as one of the pastors on staff at EVBC (now Redemption Gilbert). In 2020, Redeemer Bible Church became Angela and Curtis's home church, and he joined Redeemer's pastoral staff in January of 2021, currently serving as Associate Pastor of Shepherding. Curtis and Angela have four daughters (Anna, Savannah, Alyssa, & Tiana), three sons-in-law (James, Andrew, & Cam), and three grandchildren (Quinn, Silas, & Oliver) who they adore. They also have two ridiculously cute dogs, Wyatt and Toby. Though he roots for all of the hometown teams, he is a diehard fan of his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
